Instinct V2 is an upgrade to Instinct in the Third Sea. It is not unlocked by handing a trainer a newly invented list of combat materials. The community wiki documents a Hungry Man quest involving level, experience, a prior quest and a meal.
Prerequisite checklist
The Instinct V2 reference lists level 1800+, 5000 Instinct V1 experience, the Musketeer Hat/Citizen quest, and 5,000,000 Beli. These are separate checks: character level does not prove Instinct experience, and owning enough money does not complete the prior quest.
The documented sequence
- Find the Hungry Man in a pineapple house at Floating Turtle.
- Confirm the level, Instinct experience and Citizen quest requirements before searching for the meal.
- Gather the quest’s Apple, Banana and Pineapple. The Hungry Man quest reference identifies Floating Turtle, Great Tree and Port Town as their respective locations.
- Bring the three fruits to the Citizen for the bowl, then return to the Hungry Man.
- Read the purchase prompt and confirm the Beli cost before accepting.
These instructions summarise the named community references; we have not personally recorded a completion in the current game build. Follow the actual quest dialogue if it differs, and avoid treating an old screenshot as proof of a current spawn time.
Diagnose the point where you are stuck

This table is a troubleshooting order, not a guaranteed explanation of every game error. Save the exact dialogue when reporting a mismatch.
What we removed and why
The older page’s large cocoa/wing/scale grind and three-wave trainer story had no supporting completion record. They should not be followed. We also do not promise an exact farming duration, unlimited dodge immunity or a fixed combat advantage.
